Sir Paul Smith has been given the British Fashion Awards' highest honour - the Outstanding Achievement prize, ahead of the official ceremony at the Savoy Hotel on November 28.
Paul Smith was 15 when he left school, got on his bike, and pedalled off to his first job at a clothes warehouse in Nottingham and now 50 years later Sir Paul Smith has been honoured with the Outstanding Achievement prize.
The accolade is given to those who have made an exceptional contribution towards British fashion. Previous winners include John Galliano, Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen.
